Howdy! It's on, brothers and sisters - not only are we candidates for NetFan.pl's Artist of the Year award (hope y'all are voting for that), we just found out that our debut album "Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood" has a chance to become Antyradio's Album of the Year. If you want this to happen, vote here (you can give one vote per day): Do you also have that feeling that there just wasn't enough voting recently? Hopefully we have a cure for that:) We signed our little band of rejects for the Polish edition of Metal Fest... Well, the drummer already lives in Jaworzno, so why not have him play there? Vote HERE, people!

Ahoy! New Year has begun so we'd like to wish all of you (and ourselves for that matter) all the best! Unfortunately we start off with a rather unpleasant piece of info. As of 2012 our manager Andrzej Cedzyński will no longer be working with our band. Andrzej, thanks for all the time and effort you put into JDO, may our paths cross again many times in future. We hope to find a worthy replacement soon. Funny story - we're kinda one of the candidates for NetFan.pl's Artist of the Year award. And yup, we would very much like to win this. But we can't do it alone (believe us, we tried) and need YOUR help!
And guess what, you can vote every day, so be sure to do that;)

Yesterday's gig at Lapidarium in Sandomierz was truly magical - way to end our 2011 "tour"! THANK YOU ALL! Special thanks go out to Corruption who invited us to this awesome event and to Demon's Heart for a great opening show. And since we have your attention, we'd like to wish you a steamy and perverted Xmas, and a possible liver failure after the New Year's bash. We'll see y'all on tour in 2012, stay beautiful!
15.11.2011
We sadly inform that due to our guitarist's serious knee injury we won't be able to play the upcoming gig in Kluczbork. We sincerely apologize to everyone who wanted to party with us and Death Denied and promise to come back as soon as possible. In the meantime, do wish that moron Stempel a quick recovery...
03.11.2011
We sadly inform that due to a difficult family situation which one of the members of Leash Eye is currently striving with, the band will not be able to perform at the upcoming shows in Katowice and Krakow. We understand and support their decision, especially since it wasn't an easy one. We decided not to cancel the shows and in both cities we'll play in the same line-up as previously announced (excluding Leash Eye of course) - with Pigs In Tank in Katowice and Death Denied in Krakow. We sincerely hope that despite the given situation you'll still choose to see our merry band of fools in action. Be there!
21.10.2011
Yakshemash! We never thought this would happen but it seems that life is full of surprises – we'd like to welcome back our ex-bass player Peo who will from now on play at most of our gigs and take part in writing and recording our future albums. In the same time we're not saying “goodbye” to Tommy – he will still support us on certain occasions. The first show with Peo on board will be with Blood Ceremony in Katowice, he will also play with us in Krosno. We decided to give the rest of the gigs to Tommy as a way of saying “thank you” for the time he spent with us.

Check it out to see how you can get a hold of our albums and t-shirts. We are also happy to announce to new shows - on Dec 3rd in Krosno (supporting Virgin Snatch) and on Dec 10th in Sandomierz (supporting Corruption). The full list is as follows:

More details, as usual, in the SHOWS section.
15.10.2011
Bad news - for reasons beyond our control we're forced to cancel the show in Będzin on October 28th. Turns out that the owner totally forgot about our concert and planned a Heloween party for that date... That's what you call professional. Sorry to everyone who wanted to see us and Ebola Cereal at Parapet that night.
21.09.2011
We just found out that The Answer will be officially joining the Hard Rock Heroes Festival line-up! Below you can admire the finished poster in all its glory:) See you on November 28th at Spodek!
14.09.2011
Aloha! Great news - courtesy of MMP our merry bunch has been chosen to open Hard Rock Heroes Festival on November 28th in Spodek, Katowice! The festival will feature such acts as Kruk, Alcatrazz feat. Graham Bonnet, TSA and the unquestionable legend - Whitesnake! We're no hard rock heroes ourselves but we promise to start off this amazing event with a bang! Our show begins exactly at 4:00pm - be there!
12.09.2011
Howdy! Check out our MEDIA/REVIEWS section for some new reviews we got from all around the world, including (finally!) some reviews from the US, UK and Australia (now we can actually understand what people are writing about our music - bye bye Google Translator...). The rating is holding at a strong 7/10 average so we're a bunch of happy campers right now :) We're also about to announce some new shows - stay tuned!

Mornin'! This Friday (22.07) CGM.pl will have an exclusive preview of our upcoming video for the song "Ballbreaker". The video will available to watch everywhere on Monday (25.07), right after we put it on our YouTube channel. Enjoy!
18.07.2011
Howdy Ho! Check out our official YouTube Channel, which is launching TODAY! We intend to put all sorts of crazy shit there, starting with a teaser/'making of' video for the clip to 'Ballbreaker'! Yeah, we know that you're supposed to have a 'making of' vid AFTER the actual clip is released, but hell, we're artists and we don't care what you think:P By the way, the music video to 'Ballbreaker' will be released next week, don't miss it ;)
17.06.2011
Bad news. The Corrossion of Conformity show has been cancelled yesterday, meaning that neither us nor Death Denied and Luxtorpeda will appear in Krakow that day... But we promise to visit the lovely city of Krakow as soon as we can.
17.06.2011
Ahoy! So the release party is behind us and all we can say is THANK YOU, YOU WERE ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!! Seriously, from the turn-up to how you guys reacted to our music everything was just perfect and thanks to you we played one of the best shows in our so-called career ;) Once again - THANK YOU, YOU RULE! We recently launched a bunch of cool t-shirts (check 'em out below) and if you think you're destined to have one, you can buy it either HERE or by contacting us by e-mail. We should have a proper merch section on our website by the beginning of July.
In the meantime, drop by to Warsaw (Progresja) or Wroclaw (Kultowa) for the weekend for some loud, alcohol-fueled rock'n'roll! As always, you'll find the details in our SHOWS section.
07.06.2011
Hell-o! The line-up for the show in Warsaw has been slightly altered, now we're playing with Neuronia instead of Testor and there will be a fourth band opening the show - [wreath]. And on June 19th, a day after the gig in Progresja, we'll be playing with Palm Desert at Kultowa in Wroclaw. You can find the details for both shows HERE. We received first reviews of our debut album, strangely enough most of them are so far from Germany. Thank you, Germany!;) There's also two Polish reviews, one from Hungary and one from Sweden - all to be found in the MEDIA/PRESS/REVIEWS section.
31.05.2011
Greetings! Yesterday we celebrated the Polish premiere of "Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood" and on this occasion we decided to share two more tracks from the album - "Stoned to Death" (which you may recall from our EP "Pure Concentrated Evil" from 2008) and "Boot Hill". Enjoy! We'd also like to invite y'all to Progresja in Warsaw, where on June 18th we'll be playing a gig with Testor and Taliban Monkey Soldiers. More details coming soon!
18.05.2011
Howdy! We're extremely pleased to invite you all to the official release party for our debut album "Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood", which will take place in Kultowa in Katowice on June 10th. We'll be playing most of the stuff from the album and we'll have two great bands as guest performers - Death Denied and Downsideup! You'll also have a chance to buy our albums on the show, that and the mega-ultra-kick-ass-hipster t-shirts with our band's logo (huh!). This time it's serious - you gotta be there!
05.05.2011
Ahoy! Finally we reveal two premiere tracks from our upcoming debut album "Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood" on our Myspace and Facebook accounts, as well as on our website! (CLICK!!!) The tracks would have been there sooner but the MMP promotion department is relentless;) But hey, at least this way one of the tracks (or both if we're lucky) will be played on air by Antyradio! We hope you'll enjoy both "Ballbreaker" and "Purple Haze"! We would also like to welcome Tommy Cedzynski in our ranks as our new official bass player. Tommy used to play in Silver Samurai and Formis, he is already after his first field test with JDO and all is looking good from our side. Give the guy a warm welcome!

METAL HAMMER MAGAZINE!
Check out the newest issue of the Polish Metal Hammer magazine, where you'll find quite a hefty interview with the pack of numskulls known as J.D. Overdrive. Stempel and Susel reveal why they're not a "true" metal group, why they own all of Justin Bieber's albums and why in the earth they think that putting on a cowboy hat makes you a stoner band. Yee-haw!
We've also put some new stuff in our PRESS and VIDEO/FM sections. Enjoy ;)

THE COVER ARTWORK FOR THEIR DEBUT ALBUM!
Howdy! We are more than pleased to finally present to you the cover artwork for our debut album "Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood". We'd like to thank from the bottoms of our heart all the people who helped create this absolutely awesome design. We're also proud to give you the final tracklist of the album which you will find below. Stay tuned for the first music samples - they'll be coming soon! Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood
08.04.2011
We are extremely happy to announce that we joined the Metal Mind Productions family and will be releasing our debut album - "Sex, Whiskey & Southern Blood" - on May 30th. That's the Polish release date, the album will be available in Europe on June 6th and in the USA - on July 12th. Soon we will reveal the album's cover and put at least one premiere track on our website. Stay tuned!
06.04.2011
CORROSION OF CONFORMITY! On June 26th Poland will be visited by the legendary New Orleans band Corrosion of Conformity (the "Animosity" line-up; the band will play the entire album live that night). We're more than happy to announce that along with Luxtorpeda we will be supporting the main act on this one of a kind event! We'll see you June 26th in Rotunda in Krakow!
01.04.2011 Ahoy there! Check out NetFan.pl, the web portal that will be forever known for making the biggest mistake in the history of time and naming us their "artists of the month". Our condolences. Nevertheless, many thanks for this wonderful surprise ;) You can also find us in this month's Teraz Rock, where a couple of nice things has been said about our humble collective in the Black Label Society gig review. Also, at the end of April we'll be returning to the sunny Rybnik city for yet another gig, this time in Zwierciadlo pub along with Downsideup. Check out the poster below for details.
And finally, we'll be announcing the details of releasing our debut album real soon, we will also present the final cover artwork. Stay tuned!
11.03.2011 Mornin'! Without any unnecessary bullshit - our sincere thanks go to the absolutely awesome audience at the Black Label Society gig in Warsaw. You guys fucking owned and even though we had to cut our setlist, there was still over a thousand of you making us feel like a real fucking rock band! Thank you for everything, you fucking rule! Plus a special shout out to our fans from Wroclaw - we're comin' to visit ya real soon... We'd also like to invite you all to our gig tomorrow in Lodz. We're not expecting to be as nervous as with the BLS show but as always, we promise to give our best and thrash the venue to pieces, just like Zakk would want us to. And we have another gig on March 18th with Pigs In Tank and Beerhad - check out the poster below. See you there!
18.02.2011
BLACK LABEL SOCIETY IN WARSAW! Unbelievable, yet true. Yesterday we got a green light for opening for Zakk Wylde's legendary band on their show in Warsaw's Stodola on March 9th. We will hit the stage around 7:30 pm, our performance will then be followed by Godsized and, of course, the unquestionable headliner - Black Label Society. I don't think we need to mention how big an honor this is for us, or how nervous we are because of this. Nevertheless, chances like these don't knock on the door everyday, that is why we'll make sure to give our best and - hopefully with your help - tear down Stodola to pieces. See you in Warsaw!
01.02.2011 Howdy! A bunch of info: the gig in February changed its name from 'Winter Crank Festival' to 'Winter Heavy Riff Attack', while on March 12th we'll revisit Łódź to play with Maggoth at the Iron Horse (check out the poster below). And as for our album, all is going well - we're currently at the mixing stage and that's just a step away from mastering. Keep yer fingers crossed!
Now for some less cheerful news - our bassist Peo has decided to leave our band due to personal reasons. Don't worry - we parted ways without quarreling, in harmony and love, and with lots of booze involved :P For now Peo will aid us on our live shows until we find a proper replacement. And that means we're scouting for a new bass player, so for all you talented peeps out there - JDO needs You!!
05.01.2011 And the New Year's Eve party is behind us. The JDO team had a good, although not so sober time, what was documented by several disgracing photos including the one below... We hope that none of you was threatened by sobriety that night!
In the meantime, we'd like to invite you to listen to Radio ProRock tomorrow night at 10:00 pm, when during the 'Musical Battleground' show J. D. Overdrive will stand against... well, we're not exactly sure who but it should be a blast anyway ;)
